NetYantra Inc. is a telecommunications company that builds IP Telephony products.

The Softphone design required team Admoves to focus on:

- innovative design in terms of look and feel
- scalability with a view of adding on functionality
- easy to use interface

The initial design was chalked out with a lot of curves, and a very non-standard phone evolved. However, when looking at the integration of buttons, LCD display panels, and the size of the information that would need to be shown to the user, we decided to rework the initial design on a broader based screen.

The end result- a slightly less curvy phone, but still a very sleek and functional interface nevertheless. A key point that was in our minds was the need for the interface to be easily usable in touch screen mode, and hence the broader buttons and fast keys.

Other elements such as application icons, login screen, installation screen, Instant Messaging Interface, phone book and contact management interface with intuitive features for call preferences were designed after detailed deliberations with the technical team at NetYantra, and looking at actual call and conferencing scenarios and usability issues therein.

The overall interface is a combination of gloss and metal, keeping to the realistic feel similar to cell phones/ PDAs in real life.
